The fastest time for a dog to retrieve a person from water over a distance of 25 m is 1 minute 36.812 seconds, achieved by Jack the Black vom Muehlrad and his handler Hans-Joachim Brueckmann (both Germany), on the Kaarster See lake in Kaarst, Germany, on 11 June 2013. The feat was recorded for the TV show GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS - Wir holen den Rekord nach Deutschland, aired on RTL2 (Germany).

The longest eyelash on a dog is 17 cm (6.69 in) and belongs to Ranmaru (Japan), an Australian Labradoodle, as measured in Chuo, Tokyo, Japan, on 4 September 2014.
Ranmaru's right eyelash was measured. He was 3 years 8 months old as of September 2014.

The fastest 30 m on a scooter by a dog was achieved in 20.77 seconds, and was achieved by Norman the Scooter Dog, owned by Karen Cobb (USA), at All Tournament Players Park, in Marietta, Georgia, USA, on 12 July 2013.

The tallest dog ever is ‘Zeus’ (USA) a Great Dane, who measured 1.118 m (44 in) tall on 4 October 2011 and is owned by Denise Doorlag and her family, of Otsego, Michigan, USA.

The smallest dog living, in terms of height, is a female Chihuahua called Milly, who measured 9.65 cm (3.8 in) tall on 21 February 2013 and is owned by Vanesa Semler of Dorado, Puerto Rico. Milly's full pedigree name Miracle Milly. She was born on 1 December 2011.

The smallest dog in terms of length is Heaven Sent Brandy, a female chihuahua who measured 15.2 cm (6 in) from the nose to the tip of the tail on 31 January 2005. Brandy lives with her owner, Paulette Keller in Largo, Florida, USA. Brandy's date of birth is 31 December 2003.

The world record for the highest jump cleared by a dog is 172.7 cm (68 in), achieved by Cinderella May a Holly Grey, owned by Kate Long and Kathleen Conroy (both USA) of Miami, Florida, USA, at the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge National Finals, Gray Summit, Missouri, USA on 7 October 2006.

The longest ears on a dog measured 31.1 cm (12.25 in) and 34.3 cm (13.5 in) for the left and right ears, respectively, on 8 June 2010. They belong to Harbor, a Black and Tan Coonhound, who is owned by Jennifer Wert of Colorado, USA. Harbor is a 7 year old Coonhound (b. July 2003) who weighs a healthy 40.51kg (89.2 pounds).

The world record for the most tennis balls held in the mouth by a dog at one time is five. Augie, a golden retriever owned by the Miller family in Dallas, Texas, USA, successfully gathered and held all five regulation-sized tennis balls on 6 July 2003.
